Question Need help/direction for a setup

Hey guys how everybody.
I have a 1994 camaro z28 , auto with 149,000 miles on it. Since its an auto i want relatively good horsepower and acceleration. Any ideas since it has alot of mileage already? Is porting a good way to start with the heads? Ive heard camaros that sound really mean when they install cams, but how do i go around. When i look up cams alot of numbers come up starting with "cc" ? is there a standard average set that has everything included that i can just buy online? thank you alot!

Welcome to the forum.

My suggestion to you is to read this forum. Alot. And when you think you've read enough, read some more. There are obviously TONS of things that you have to learn, namely the basics for creating more HP. I don't mean this to offend you, but there's a hundred things that need to be considered, and you have a lot to learn. Definitely start small first, get the basics down, and go from there.
