need help engine light on ( P0172, P0175, P0441)
i have a 96 z28. last year my egr valve was ****ed and i was told that i needed to change it.. but it took me a good 5 months before i changed it.. ever since then i had my engine light on.. my mechanic told me that its cuz of my o2 snesors. because they ve been clogged.. so i bought the o2 sensors, and took it so some othe rmechanic,, he wouldnt change em cuz he said the o2 sensor readings were good and they re not the problem..
he scanned the car and these are the codes in order
P0172 (bank 2 too rich)
P0175 (bank 2 too rich)
P0441 (evap system nop purge flo
he told me that it has to do somthing with my emission system.. and he suggested that i should put methal hydrate in my gas tank and that would clean everything.. can someone tell me what the problem is, and what part needs to be cleaned or replaced?

You might want to read the post stickied to the top of the forum thread list about "abuse of TTT"... no better way to get people riled up and get "0" answers.
Your codes are for Bank 1 "rich" and for Bank 2 "rich". The O2 sensors have reported a rich condition, and the PCM has not been able to correct this condition, even though it has reduced the long term fuel correction factors (BLM's) to 108. Either you have a true "rich" condition that is affecting the entire engine:
-excessive fuel pressure
-leaking injectors on both sides
-leaky fuel pressure regulator diaphragm leaking fuel into intake
-MAF sensor over-reporting air flow
-coolant temp sensor reading too low
-MAP sensor reading too high
Or... you could have a condition where both O2 sensors are screwed up and not reporting the correct A/F data.
P0441 is EEC canister - no flow when purge commanded. Could be a plugged line from the fuel tank, a cracked vacuum line from the throttle body to the EEC purge sensor, a plugged purge solenoid, a faulty flow detector, etc.
