Need help fast please

Ok, here's the situation. Right before the F-body Gathering in Atlanta my car started to run very rough, so I pulled the valve cover and found the #4 pushrods missing. I found them in the valley: http://:104.photobucket.com/albums/m...6045243PM.jpg. Replaced them and the car ran perfect going up to Atlanta, but then on the way back down it suddenly started the same symptoms. It drives really rough, like a plug or 2 are bad, and also now it will not even start.

Also, now none of the pushrods are missing (I just pulled the intake). One thing to note though is both situations it's had slip blms (~140/108). I know an opti will not cause this split, and now I am stumped on what could be wrong. (note: the opti has only ~3000miles) The plugs were also replaced about 1500 miles ago with NGK tr55's.

Another thing I noticed now is that #5 intake runner is covered in carbon, and yet all the other runners are completely clean. (I'll post pics in a few minutes)

As I said, I am completely stumped as to what it could be and will be very thankful for any ideas.

Ryan

Re: Need help fast please

guessing maybe the intake valve is not closing all the way allowing burnt fuel to blow back into the intake.

Did you do a leak down test yet? You can still do it with the intake off.
