Its probably the fuel pump. I had similar symptoms on mine last week, and it turned out the fuel pump was bad. Had the pump replaced, and it runs like a champ now.

Check and make sure your ignition control module is plugged in good and that there isnt any corrosion on the weatherpack that snaps to it. Other than that if you're getting power there just try another icm if you have a spare around or a buddy who has an lt1 just swap em.

I have another coil and module...does it have to be grounded to the cylinder head or can i just plug in the ICM and Coil and the coil wire?

Just hold the old coil next to it and plug the icm in and have somebody crank it. Coil should be able to be checked the same way.

Sorry, I guess I missed that part.

One other time I had this problem was after replacing a radiator hose, I forgot to plug the AIR hose back into my intake. I have a 1997 SS, and I'm not sure if your '93 has the same smog setup.

I did find a link about your trouble code

Ok, I was at the car tonight....I checked the fuel injectors for pulse by unplugging the injector plug and hooked up the test light to the positive termainal of the battery to check for ground when the engine is cranking...the light was on with the key turned to the run position but not cranking...when i cranked the engine, the light did not blink...so i knew there was no injector pulse. I then went to test the optical sensor in the distributor which sends a signal to the PCM which then sends a ground to the injector causing it to fire. With the opti harness unplugged, i had the key in the run position...i checked for power on the red wire and was fine....I then took the multimeter and checked for 5volts on the red/black wire and purple/white wire....i never had 5 volts....i then disconnected the opti harness from the wire harness to see if i had the 5 volts at the engine harness. i never had it there either....i then wet back to the PCM and checked where the hi/lo res wires came from the PCM....never had 5 volts there either....I think the PCM is toast.......can someone verify thisbefore i go looking for another PCM.....This is really getting to me....soon may be a big part out!!!

I dont think the injector will ground back to the battery like you're thinking. Try pulling the fuse to the pcm in the side of the dash and resetting it.

Its pretty confusing because the pcm uses the opti for both injector firing and for timing. Try popping the fuel rail off and sitting it in a tub with the injectors still hooked up and see if they're squirting when you crank it. Or you can shoot a little carb cleaner into the tb blades to verify that its not getting fuel.

If its not the injector fuses or the opti then the injector drivers in the pcm have likely burnt up or you have some sort of faulty sensor or harness somewhere.

ok, i just sprayed a little carb cleaner in the TB and it fired up for a minute..with the 3rd opti....soon as the cleaner burned off then it shut off and back to the same thing...

You have to test the injector connector between the two pins with your test light. One wire is Battery power, the other wire is a quick ground signal from the ECM. If not injector pulse, disconnect all eight injectors and test again. Still no injector pulse, you're probably narrowed down to ECM.

Well you also have to consider what type of light you're using 2ms like a lt1 would have under idle conditions will not heat up a carbon filliment bulb either. I'm not saying you're wrong, just that maybe your avg test light may not be up to snuff for injector pulses.

That's true, in a perfect world everyone has the right tools. A test light is by far not the right tool, it should be a noid light. A quick run to Radio Shack and he could have an LED to plug into the injector harness for a few bucks.
