Re: Need pics of fuel pump install..Walbro 255 lph..
so do you think mine will not work properly without the plastic flex tube on it? Why does it not come with one on it from Walbro and your Racetronix pump has installed on the pump? I wish I could send mine back to Summit and buy a racetronix.

We manufacture the kits here specifically for the F-LT1 cars.
You can try some rubber fuel injection hose.

So if I removed my standard fuel hose and tried a high pressure fuel hose mine might work right? I bought a foot of standard fuel line is all, not high pressure. I will try that and see if it works. I made some pics of my pump and hoses when I removed it a little while ago for reference sake. I am learning from mistakes I guess. I am glad you guys are here for advice!

[QUOTE=Racetronix]The Holley, GMS and BBK branded Walbro kits that Summit sells are generic and not meant for specific applications. They require you to come up with your own hardware and modifications in order to retain factory functionality.

Thats also why i bought my Racetronix setup. I did a search before i bought a pump and found out that all the aftermarket pumps for our cars are generic and you have to fiddle f#ck around to make them work. I wanted a setup that was better than stock and i could just swap right in, so the Racetronix was for me. I'm glad there is this site or i probably would of ended up with a Holley, GMS or BBK brand Walbro kit instead.

Be careful when you remove the old hose from the pump. If you pull it off there is a good chance you will yank the nipple off the pump's outlet which holds the checkvalve in place. It would be best to cut off the old hose from the pump with a utility knife.

will do. I will cut off the line and go buy a high pressure line. Should I look for a flex high pressure line that resembles the one that was on my old pump or does it matter? Do you have yahoo IM so i could send you a pic or two of my present pump with the lines on it?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Rubber FI in-tank hose is fine.
We do not use any type of IM here.

Re: Need pics of fuel pump install..Walbro 255 lph..
I found some high pressure Fuel Injection hose at O'Reilly auto parts and installed it on my pump and reinstalled it a little while ago. PROBLEM SOLVED!
Pressure goes to 48 psi and holds fine. I bled the pressure off the guage and went back and primed it 30 mins later and it pressured up to 48psi again and held for another 30mins, then it fired right up and I drove it some. I am back in Z28 haulin' business!
At least until something else breaks on my Z28.
Thanks for everyone's help. I will recommend Racetronix to my fellow hot rod enthusiast friends due to an easier install and not much more $$$ than my GMS Walbro 255lph...Thanks again!
