I now see the reasoning behind your wording.Anyway, the book calls it a "clutch fork ball stud".
It is listed as "not serviced" but you can get one included if you buy a transmission. 
Sound like a deal?

Thats the Dead end i came up with.........LOL
but, read in your manual... for the symptoms of transmission wont go into gear.......
"Bent or worn clutch fork and or pivot ball"
There are tons of people having these problems, including myself. The last time i had my tranny apart. I took a very close look at the fork and TEE. They both had an easy couple thousandths of wear on each.
Since the LT1 runs a "Tight Air Gap clutch"..... THOUSANDTHS COUNT...
This could be the reason there are so many people having these problems with there trannys.
But, to find out..... we need a Tee....

well, they have to make the part..... they sell replacement transmissions....
So..... I looked up Borg Warner automotive / Transmissions division.... and left a messege with the Vice president of Transmissions...
maybe well get somewhere.....
Its insane..... that i have to buy a $2500 transmission for what might be a $50 part......

I was looking at/inspecting that very part today befor I put my tranny in. I noticed a little bit of wear, but nothing to write home about. I just put a tiny bit of grease in there and put it back together.
Make sure to keep us posted on what you find out. Get me one too if you can, and I'll pay you for it. Just as long as it isn't over $30 or so. I can't see it being that much.
