Need Suggestions Please Help.
I know I'm probably not in the right place for this question, but I really need some help. I'm building a 1993 roller 350 into a 383 stroker and am looking for a computer that will work with my 4l60e transmission. Can a 1993 LT1 computer run off of a tbi/tpi distributor instead of an opti spark? Here's the frankin combo I'm building it's a 1993 roller truck block, using an eagle 383 rotating assy, RHS Protorker 170cc Vortec heads, a CompCams 08-412-8 roller cam 110lsa .484/.494 lift 212/218@.050" dur. Here's my problem, the induction. I'm modifying a Weiand dual 4bbl tunnel ram to accept LS6 ev6 fuel injectors and dual stripped down 2bbl tbi throttle bodies. I would like to use a 93 lt1 computer if possible because I know it has transmission controls built into the computer like the one in my truck. And I also already have all the tuning software and hardware for datalogging and burning my own proms.

To get the 93 ECM (only controls Engine, not Powertrain) to run with the Gen 1 distributor, you would have to find a way to mount the Opti's optical cam position sensor in the Gen 1 distributor. I believe is has been done. Search on the "Advanced Tech" forum. LT1 ECM/PCM will not function without the cam position pulse signals from the optical sensor.
You need a 94 PCM to run a 4L60E with switched converter lockup, and a 95 or up PCM to run a 4L60E with the pulse width controlled lockup 4L60E. Now you're into MAF and sequential injection, rather than the 93 ECM's speed-density and batch-fire injection.
