New cam..

I was wondering if it would be ok to put a diff. cam in my 95 z28 with 103,000 miles on it, or if it has too many miles to change it out without having to do anything else.

Plenty of people have cammed their engines with that kind of mileage. A big factor is making sure you do a clean install.

You can... but there are some things to be concerned with. You hear of some guys having no problems and others who barely got 500 miles out of it and they were eating bearings. Check out advance inductions' website. They have a few cars with over 100k on their motors. One had 140,000 plus miles and it was making great power.
I guess if you are going to do it, you may want to have a plan B if it does go wrong, just so you are not left hangin.

there is also other things involved when doing a cam like springs that you need to research also.

As long as things have been taken care of, 100000 miles is not the end of the car as we have known it...It's just a number...

But definitely do springs, pushrods, and all that crap too...

I agree. Also there is also such a thing as having too much cam for your heads. Bigger is not always better.

I'm on my 4th cam and 3rd set of heads at ~103k miles right now so you should be fine.
