Are the new LCAs going to hurt ride quality?
#3
I recently installed BMR tubular poly/poly ends with relocation brackets. The ride quality is better to me because there is a lot less slop and it just feels more solid. Not everyone likes the same thing, so you will just have to wait and see how you like it. Just keep the stock parts in case you want to go back.

Maybe slight difference in ride quality but nice improvement in handling and shouldn't notice much if any noise. You can buy the bmr with rubber at one end poly at the other but don't see this as very necessary.I have hotchkis poly poly in my 99 no complaints.

I experience a reduction in ride quality with the Hotchkis LCAs. I decided to remove them and ended up selling them. Sure maybe on WOT blasts the rear was planted better, but on the curves, over RR tracks and rough roads I had enough of the jolting and stiffness associated with the firmer poly bushings. My oem 12CD changer in the truck would jamb constantly. It just wasn't worth it to me. I am not knocking the Hotchiks or aftermarket LCAs, but that mod was just not for me.
I had a plate welded to the oem LCA to box them and kept the rubber bushings. That was enough for me.

BMR boxed LCAs are nice, its what I got. Didnt notice any difference in ride quality, in fact I was unaware of such a thing. All I care about is my car planting those rear tires though so I guess I dont pay attention to that sort of thing anyway.

Yea mine are poly/poly. I can't wait to get them on and see what its like. My nittos are a ton better then the old tires I had but they still spin a bit. Hopefully this will help.
