does the law state a specific dB level you can't go over, or is it up to the officer's discretion?

Loud DB's

It is not uncommon for officers in the Chattanooga, TN area to carry Decibel meters if they suspect your Camaro or 'Bird is too loud. Run your car by a car stereo shop - they usually have dB meters that maybe you could check your level. I don't know for sure where you could find your printed ordinances though -

put a bullet muffler in place of the resinator and that will quiet down a little and take the raspyness out of it.

I used to have it but i got rid of it b/c the interior resonance was too much and I was getting headers. Its fine if you have the windows down all the time but it sucks when they are up and you are crusin at 70 mph.

I never got pulled over when I had mine, just keep off of it when you see a cop and you should be fine. Around here, noise tickets are pretty much bs since they dont have decibel meters so you can take it to court and get it thrown out.

In what part of Cincy do they have a dB limit?

I'm in the northwest and never get any slack about my open cutout.

ha ok..maybe ill stop by..it really isnt that bad...just pretty loud...no rasp here...**** it pops less than when i had my magnaflow muffler on my stock i-pipe....i love it...deep and mean...but yea i live down between cincinnati and dayton...i dont think ill get any slack about but i have just seen signs posted here where i live...it doesnt have a certain decible rating or anything on the signs tho...so i guess its up the occifer (haha oops...i mean officer)

id try to make some sound clips but i doubt they will work...my magnaflow about blew the mic away with the clips that i made with it...and hte mic was like 15 feet away so im guessin the loudmouth would not work with the mic....o well...just buy the loudmouth...you'll love it
