New member, list of parts/cam ID.
hi, im new to the forums but not new to the f-body scene. ive had my 94 Z28 for a few years now and have some good supporting mods, but im ready to take the next step.
1. i dont have headers, i have ported exhaust manifolds (should have spent the 500$ while i had them off) and magnaflow catback. need recommendations.
2. i have the earlier style opti so i need a good timing set any good recommendations?
-trans and TC are stock but shift flawlessly. can i use a stock converter with this cam, or what would you reccommend?
3. the heads are mildly ported intake only, i have double valve springs
Comp cams 986 valve springs +retainers/locks CCA-986
Comp cams 503 for LT1. 224/230 112LSA camaro cc503
on the camshaft it saysLT1 XR276HR-12 and at the bottom it says UH6426
does this sound about right? i plan on getting
cca-1305-16
sum-1457200 (7.2 length)guessed on 7.2
nal-14011051 (need 8 of them)
sum-ht214 (need 16 of them)
cca-4501-16
new opti, wires, plugs mezeire elec waterpump, fuel pressure reg, misc gaskets, fluids.
i came up with $1,700 but itll probly be double
my main concern is with installing the springs right like when to use the shims, and how to check everything like coil bind and spring height.
my basic guide is shoebox.com and ive had it apart a few times for mods and repairs but ive never been under the front cover.
thanks for any help in advance -Joe-

I forget the name of the timing chain you can switch to with the non vented opti, but I do remember it's very exspensive. Do like I did, and just get a new stock GM replacement. I'm not sure if those springs are enough for that very popular cam. If not, cough up the money and get a set of 918 beehives, you won't be disappointed.

i was looking at the beehives, but i had allready bought this cam/spring combo someone said they were a good match, what exact beehive spring would be ideal for my setup, and can i use the locks/retainers ect that the other springs came with? where can i get a good deal on the beehives?
