New personal best today for my bolt-on LT1...
I had a rather good day dispite the crappy weather, most of the guys I was running with were saying they were between 1-1.5 tenths off due to today's weather...
For those that didn't know I was doing a little weight reduction, and got my RW down to 3190# according to the track's freshly calibrated scales...
The first pass out today was:
60' ... 1.663
330 .. 4.999
1/8 ... 7.832
MPH . 86.14
1000 10.294
1/4 ... 12.362
MPH . 109.47
I followed that up with another new best of:
60' ... 1.655
330 .. 4.990
1/8 ... 7.826
MPH . 86.11
1000 10.282
1/4 ... 12.345
MPH . 109.7
Not bad for a bolt-on, well mostly bolt-off , LT1 car...

Damn...Another one of those fast CPT cars!
Great times, John. Obviously you know what an accomplishment it is to get a bolt-on car to run 12.34.
It's always nice to see our customers (and friends) putting down incredible numbers.

Thanks guys...
Frank, glad to help, and again thanks for yours as well, my drivetrain comes from your consultation, and half your old parts... After many years the tranny has performed flawlessly...
Here are pics of the recent weight reduction and how the car looks now...

Yeah weather was killer, I was sunburned for the first time in years because it was so hazy I didn't think we needed sun screen. It was so hazy you can see the humidity in the air in that video above when looking down the track. The other racers that have been doing this for years and knew their cars down to the hundredth were all saying they were between .1-.15 (a few said as much as .2) off yesterday at that same track, and they were all saying I should be 12.1 in good air.
I guess I am done with the free and cheep stuff, and the next things to help with weight reduction are the pay mods, I think there is about an easy 150# still left to come out. I still have the stock steel hood, stock front suspension and brakes, stock rear LCA's and PRB, and stock stamped Torque Arm...
After I get to the point I need a cage is when it will be really gutted, I will then hit up the sub-fenders, interior brackets, extra metal, and lightweight seats w/5pt's to help off set it's weight...
