New spark plug wires already arcing?
Replaced the original wires during the header install now the new wires are arcing worse than the originals in less than a week . I got autolite professional series wires but I guess they are crap. What kind do you guys recommend? Should I go back to ac delco?
I'd rather not cut my own or go with OTVC.

This is only my opinion on wires. MSD 8.5mm Super Conductors are the best and have never arced on my motor. I have used other wires andthey arced. All other wires are crap.
Also what is your plug gap? The bigger the gap the more likely you will have arcing. Make sure they are set to .045" - .050".

I had taylors arch right out of the box, always had good luck with MSDs. on a relatively stock motor though I'm not a big fan of running big *** wires because they are harder to route than stock diameter

I found a set of msd 8.5mm superconductors on ebay for $109 free shipping. I still can't figure out why this set is arcing so bad. I wrapped some of them in metal heat tape and fiberglass sleeves. Could this have caused the arcing?

Installed the msd wires today. Still arcing though not as bad . What the heck is causing this? I'm gonna try different plugs next. This car is driving my crazy. Could this be a problem with the opti somehow?

Installed some autolite platinum 104s and for the most part the problem has gone away Except for cylinder #6. It is still arcing at the plug boot off the fiberglass heat sock somehow. Any more ideas guys?

Double check the plug gap and Ohm check the wire. Should be easily less than 200 Ohms. if it is big time over 200 Ohms, here is an "open" on one end of the wire. Could be a bad crimp.
