new tb troubles

Hey, i just put on a 54mm tb.. the car runs much stronger now and seems normal until i punch it at about 50-60 it shifts into third at 70 but when it does it just falls off like i let off the gas.. the first time it did this it gave me ses light and anything over 70mph when i nailed the gas it would stay in 4th gear and the shifts were messed up after that but its fine after i turn the car off and then on.... do i need to adjust my tps?

Re: new tb troubles

I'd find out what the SES light was and go from there. TPS may be a starting point, but get the code scanned first so you can have an idea of what to check. Could be TB related, could be tranny related, could be unrelated. You just don't know.
