Thumbs up New track times with hotcam kit and Pacesetter LTs!

Well last year before having the Pacesetter LTs installed, my car was always right around 13.0 at about 107. This was with the same mods but BBK shorty headers instead. Well last weekend I got the car out and had some great times. My best run of the day was as follows:

60ft. 2.02

1/8 8.34 @ 86.53mph

1/4 12.83 @ 109.80mph

The weather was quite cool that day, (mid 40s) and traction wasn't the best. I spun a little bit when shifting into 2nd. So what do you guys think?

I would like to but I can't afford to right now. Last year I had ET streets but didn't care much for them. Yes they hooked great but then I needed different gearing because at 5K clutch dumps, the car would just bog down. With 106K miles on the rearend and an aftermarket clutch, Im scared to try that again. The year before last I used Nitto DRs, they worked out well but only lasted 1 year. Maybe next year I'll be back to the nittos.

So is that gain only from going form the bbk shorties to LTs? The title implies that the gain came from lts and the hotcam kit.

The difference between the 13.0s to high 12s was simply the exhaust, that is it. The reason for the title saying hotcam kit and pacesetter lts is because I know that there is a lot of interest on here with people who are considering one or both of them, so I figured I would grab their attention.

Very nice times with the Hotcam. The LT's really woke it up.

What was the weather when you ran 13.0 vs when you ran 12.8?

Very nice, very nice. The Hot Cam and the LT's are the biggest upgrades, right? That's pretty much what I'm plannin on doin next, cept I think I'll be goin with maybe some MAC mids instead (installation purposes.)

Re: New track times with hotcam kit and Pacesetter LTs!

Weather was about the same when I ran 13.0 vs. the 12.8. The 13.0 was about the best I had ever done before the new exhaust, usually it was more like a 13.1 or somewhere around there.

Yes the full exhaust and the hotcam kit are the main two upgrades on the car. The kit includes the roller rockers, and other than that I just have a CAI and thats about it. Having the computer reprogrammed for the cam made the single biggest difference out of anything I've done so far. With the bbk shorties and the hotcam kit the car ran OK at best and was about 13.5s all day long. Before it was about 13.8s. So I picked up about .3 or so with the hotcam kit. Then I got it tunned and it went about 13.1 and a couple mph faster and drove a ton better. The tunning made it a different car all together and I picked up .4 right there.

Re: New track times with hotcam kit and Pacesetter LTs!

Can you look up the DA for your two comparitive runs?
This is what I want to compare, shorties vs LTs, and DA would help. along with the time slip break down like you got above.
I really want to believe the LTs picked it up 2MPH and dropped you 2 tenths.
I want the info for my own comparison.
