new valves?

I don't believe that you "have" to have bronze valve guides when using SS valves, however I do agree that they would be advised if you are changing the guides.JMHO

got the valves

went ahead and got the manleys. (11500-8/11501-8)

they look so sexy, cant wait to have my heads finished. im done porting them and im now polishing the out before i take them to the machine shop, is there anything else i should do before the are assembled?

what kind of valve seals do you guys like?

cast iron and stainless do not like to rub together - it causes galling of the valve stem and metal transfer. I have seen it a hundred times....seeing is believing

Are they going to do guides and a valve job?

I use the metal clad viton seals - they allow just the right amount of oil to lube the stems, and will not turn brittle and hard like the nitrile seals that most use. Do not use the teflon seals for a street motor.

yes, did bronze liners

got the heads back looked really sexy, no inner spring in there wtf, no back at shop putting the clad seal on instead of the umbrella seal, b\c when i went to put on the inner spring the seal was to big around. also i was one inner spring short. will try and post up some pics when i get them back this time, those manley valves to cool in the chambers
