The theft deterrent relay and the f/p relay are the same p/n, so they look just alike.

after looking at the schematic, there is no listing for a starter relay, just theft detterent relay...... but in actuallity it is showing function for both, not location.

so that is correct then....there are 2 relays in the starting circuit. if one fails the car wont start and they are wired in series. but one is controlled by the VATS or BCM and the other by the ign swtch.

neat.......lol

C'mon Jewski!!!! get your damn hands dirty and start checking things out. Do you need someone to hold your hand while you look?? Swap out the fuel pump relay with another, first see if there is an power at initial key on. Stop being lazy, hahahaha

well guys, the relay behind the kick panel has power to the pink wire with the key forward. i tried replacing the relay, still no fuel pump. i did notice that on the passenger side there is a little push button switch hanging down....so i took off the panel above the pass. feet area, and the is what looks to be dealer installed power door locks ( a black gm box hangin there). the switch is installed on a brown wire, which is also spliced in with an orange and white wire. i tried to bypass the switch....that didnt work either. i didnt see any relays on the pass side. does anyone know if there is any more connections between the relay and the fuel pump???

When you turn the key ON, the relay should energize and give you power on the grey wire for 2 seconds. If it does this at the relay and you don't get it on the grey wire at the connector back by the pump, you need to check that grey wire in between.
