no spark at coil?????

ok so here it goes i wen't home for mothers day last weekend about a 3 hour drive. on the way there the car had an intermitten miss especially when it got warmer(sitting at a light etc) however, this miss wasn't constant and didn't happen everytime it got hotter just some of the time. i get all the way home without any dieng then left to come back to college and got about 20 minutes away and the car started missing pretty frequently still intermitten then boom it shut off no sputter out just off tried restarting and nothing only a quick cough as if it was trying to startbut nothing close to a start just a quick single fire and out again. i took the coil wire off the opti on the side of the road and it wouldn't spark (could still be sparking hard to do on the side of the road with the girlfriend) but it really should have sparked on the ground i had it on. I thought immediately icm had it tested and it tested fine twice?? thought it would start when cool if it tested fine but nothing could it be the msd coil i have? i am not at the car as it is 3 hours away but i am confused any help will be great

Try a stock coil. Any coil can go bad.

Did you try flashing the codes on the SES light, since you have a 93?

no didn't have a chance to flash the codes it broke down and my buddies where about 2 miles behind me going to the same town so i hitched a ride haha the only thing i was able to do was check the spark out of the coil, the only reason i did that is because it had the same symptoms as when my icm went out last time.
