noid test.....very dim flash

Edit: go to post 5 please

Continuation thread.
Car wont start still.
Did the noid test on the injectors and with someone starting it, every 2 seconds or so it lights up with a very dim flash.
The car has no indication of spark or wanting to start besides the starter.
Is the opti sending a weak spark and needs replaced?
The car has no codes ( atleast when it broke down )

With a test light ( hooked to ground ) there was no sign of anything.
So safe to say the opti is bad?

Got the opti out in less then 2:45 minutes with taking a few breaks in between.
Besides unhooking the clips to the wireloom for the fan wires everything was done from the top ( also the coolant drain plug ).
Once I got the waterpump off I noticed that 1 of the 3 bolts that hold the opti had totally came out, and another one was backed out almost an 1/8th inch.

Could the opti have just backed off and still work? is there anyway to know if it is still working?

Hopefully someone can answer this.......seems I have talking to myself on here.

I took apart the opti and cleaned it all out and took care of the needed areas. Then took it out to the car and hooked it up to the connector harness, plugged the noid test light in to the injector, hooked the battery back up, Then had my GF start the car while I turned part of the opti that the cam is in as to act as if the cam was turning it and sure enough the noid lit up BRIGHT, so is it safe to say the opti is fine?

sounds like ur opti is fine just had some oil or somthing in the cap that was shorting it out. I'd say put it back in and try her out.
