Normal Rocker noise?

Normal Rocker noise?
I have Crane gold 1.5's and they seem to be pretty loud. Ive adjusted the valves a few times and I have had them quiet down but thought they were too tight and backed them off.
The last time I adjusted them, I did it with the motor running. I loosened them one at a time so I could hear the difference. This time I loosened the rocker until I could hear a louder chatter and then tightened it down until the chatter went away. This seems to be the right way to do it, so that you dont overtighten them, but there is alot of valvetrain noise.
Should I do adjustments differently? I don't know how they are suppose to sound so any help will be appreciated.

Shouldnt be that loud.
Once you get to the point of no "clacking" this is zero lash. From here you need to go your set amount of preload. I would go 1/4 turn on stock lifters. Morels I believe take more than that, possibly 2/3 turn.
But for stock, and stock style, you wont be too tight at 1/4 turn past zero lash.
You should hear a almost "whining" sound from them, if I had to describe it. No clicking or clacking. Clacking is not good. The roller tip bearings make a tiny bit of noise, but it should be hard to hear. Even if you are looking for it.
