Now what?

Re: Now what?
Update- finally got car to turn over but no start. Have to check for spark, if no spark I may have put opti on wrong. If just changing opti does it have to be at TDC? Also while I'm down there with car being 150k: 1- should I replace timing set 2- How to tell if pistons are damaged (curiosity)?

Re: Now what?
Even if the Opti is indexed incorrectly, should still have spark. It would be out of time and run poorly, or maybe not start at all. As long as the cam dowel pin is in the correct hole, it is installed correctly. Did you check for spark at the Opti end of the coil wire, as well as at the cylinders?

Without reading the old posts, is this a new Opti, or just reinstalling the old one? What brand?
Check for 1-4 volts on the white wire to pin B on the ICM. Use Shoebox's guide:

If you don’t have voltage on the white wire at the ICM, proceed to the next part of the procedure to see if you have the correct voltage at the Opti harness connector.

Re: Now what?
Checking for spark at coil today, everything turned on electrical and starter cranked engine the other night. Opti is new, from petris which loctites the screws and and uses the Mitsubishi sensor. So today, 1 check for spark at coil. 2 check for spark at each cylinder. 3 check voltages at ICM and opti harness from links. Also check ignition fuse.

Re: Now what?
Connect the leads from your remote starter switch to the terminals with the two arrows in this pic. It won't do anything but crank the engine without the key ON.
