numerous problems not much time
My gas tank split and i was just wondering how fast i can remove the old one and install a new one. I am starting at 7:30 tomorrow. I need too install new plug wires, injectors and gas tank by 11:00 so i can get to the dyno by 1. I have a garage with lift and all air tools. Everything too get the job done asap. Also car is skipping after yesterday. My plug wires have a protective sleeve but i noticed one wire isbresting on the header. Also broke a tranny mount lol. Forgt too mention that the car only skips once it warms up which makes me believe its ignition related. I burnt two other sets of wires also. Could also be because I've only been able to put 10 dollars in gas at a time so the old tank could have clogged the sock on my brand new fuel pump. Will have a base tune first thing tomorrow morning but it wont do me much good without all these issues fixed. Not even sure its a tranny mount but if not its gotta be a t/a bushing. How long too fix all these probs?

If you have a couple mechanically inclined buddies to help you,it should not be a problem..You do know that you have to remove the rear section of the exhaust to get the fuel tank out right?

yes and the biggest problem with that is welding it back together when finished. Easy access too fuel pump though as i have the trap door through trunk lol. It'll be me and one other friend doing all this. I was nervous cuz i looked at installation time for our cars and it said 5-6 hours for the tank alone. It also said 3-4 hours for waterpump and i can change that in an hour easily. Hopefully all goes good and i make my appointment. Plug wires are 20-30 minutes injectors are 20 minutes. Never changed a tranny mount so not sure on that one. I was just worried about the fuel tank is all

Re: numerous problems not much time
Not to discourage you, but that is an absolutely impossibly monumental task. You're talking about pulling the entire rear suspension, rear axle assembly, exhaust, fuel tank, plugs, wires, AND injectors, and having it all back together in 3 1/2 hours?!
No way bro...

Re: numerous problems not much time
Either way you look at it the rear needs to come down a substantial amount. All of the components need to be disconnected to get the tank down entirely. This is why the "through the hatch" method was invented.
