o2 sensors

How do I upgrade to the 95 and above heated o2 sensors for a 94Z? What all needs to be done? I need some like now but I want to get the details first before ordering them from elitesparkplugs.

Basically just have to wire in the new connectors, one pin of which goes to a 12vdc source. There's a schematic running around that tells you what pins go to what. I was a little fancy and bought the extenders so that I could still disconnect the sensors without taking them off, but that isn't required. Made a huge driveability difference with my long tube Hookers. I never could get it to run right at lower RPMS until I put the heated sensors in.

94 thru 97 already have heated O2 sensors. Only the 93 has single wire, non-heated.

Oh, ok. What's the best replacement then?

I did not know that. See Injuneer teaches me at least one thing every day.

I must be the only person who is not having trouble with their Bosch O2s.

No you're not. This is the Internet, where every single problem that one person has becomes true for everyone.

Re: o2 sensors

A couple of years after owning my Z, I installed a SLP ypipe and Randon Teh. cat. on my car when it had a little over 50K miles. My friend that helped me out with that project, suggested replacing my o2s while the ypipe was out of the way (passenger side manifold easily accessible).
So we go to town and all the parts store had was (1) Bosch o2 sensor, I got it planning to get another one the next week. Well I procrastinate and now my car has 95K and same ole sensors.

I want to do 100k tune up on various things and with my budget, I have to do it in stages.

This afternoon I plan to install (2) GM o2 sensors and a new fuel filter.

After all that, I just want to say I have had no problems with my o2s (1 factory and 1 bosch), but with 45k or better on the Bosch and 95k on the factory one; I figure it's about time to do both.

Not high-jacking thread, but can you clean an EGR valve or just replace?
and
How much is one for 94Z ?
Thanks
