O2 Simulators

Ok, I need to pass my emissoins, and I probably won't with a gutted cat. Is there anyway I could pass without switching the cat?? Someone told me that O2 Simulators might work, is that true?? Anyother ideas?????

O2 sims doesn't lower the emissions. Just trick the pcm thinking there's a cat in place. If you have OBD1, there's no provision for a O2 sim.

O2 simulators would make your car run worse. They're designed to trick the PCM into thinking that you still have your rear O2 sensors. If you want a shot at passing, you're going to need your O2s. Simms are for replacing the rear, NOT the fronts. They also use a different 4-pin square connector.

Also, if your car still retains all emissions components (EGR, AIR, etc.), and is running properly, there's still a chance that you can pass, even without a cat. Only one way to find out.

oh ok, sorry about that...so basically I just have to hope it will pass with the cat. I replaced the O2's because I knew one of them was bad, so I guess I just have to hope that that is enough
