OBD-11 tuning software not Autotap
I am looking for software to tune my 1996 Z28. I have added new performance parts and can not see the added horses. I was informed that I would need to program the ECU to see it.
Any thoughts would help.
Thanks in advance.

I am also wondering about OBD ll tuning. But I am mainly looking to monitor my current tune. Is autotap and LT1 edit the only way? I did a mail order tune from madZ28 and runs great but like i said I would still like to check it out.

Re: OBD-11 tuning software not Autotap
autotap isnt for tuning. OBD2 only has one option as far as i know and it is LT1 edit. Not cheap though.
OBD1 cars can get tunercat or LT1 edit. They can also use freescan (free, hense the name) to read the computer.

LT1 Edit? never heard of it. So it will allow me to reprogram my ECU? If so that would be great. So tell me something. If other folks use bolt on performance parts how do they see the extra horses, without reprograming the ECU?

No harm done buddy... Thanks. PCM, Powertrain Control Module, reprograming software for MS Windows, is what I am looking for. Does anyone know where I can find it?
Thanks,

As said your only option for now is LT1-edit and you can get it at:
http://www.carputing.com
It is a windows based programming software, and you will need a scaning software such as autotap to monitor changes. Having said that, I don't think you need to reprogram the PCM with just boltons, I would do that after more radical mods such as heads, cam...
