Oil coming from Fuel Pressure Regulator: Whats up with that?
Ok I have a dry kit on my car and have an extended hose that runs to the solinoids that are located away from the engine. Well I pulled the line off of the solinoid part and it was dripping with oil! What could this be? I know that the diaphram on the FPR which is a Aeromotive is bad and leaks gas, but is this coming from the intake>?

If your kit is the NOS 5176 dry kit, there is a line that runs from the blue nitrous pressure regulator, and "tees" into the vacuum line from the intake manifold to the fuel pressure regulator. If you know you have a leak in the AFPR diaphragm, fuel is flowing out the vacuum connection on the AFPR, and into the line to the blue nitrous pressure regulator, and also into the intake manifold. I suspect that it may be melting or breaking down the "non fuel rated" rubber hose used in the vacuum line, and make it look like oil by the time it collects in the line at the blue pressure regulator.
Why would you drive the car with a leaking fuel pressure regulator diaphragm? You are flowing raw fuel into the intake manifold and totally screwing up the PCM's attempts to properly regulate A/F ratio. Get it rich enough, and you'll have raw fuel washing the oil off the cylinder walls, causing excessive bore wear, and diluting the crankcase oil and causing further damage.
Why?
