oil pan gasket?

should I use rtv? yea or na? I have spent the last couple days removing my oil pan because it has been leaking now I am ready to put it back on. Its a one piece fel-pro gasket when I was reading the instructions in the box it said do not use adhesives when installing. but every where else I read about it says to use it. I was just looking for a little advise. Thanks

DO NOT use rtv on the perma-seal (or what ever they call it) gasket.

It will harden the gasket and become VERY brittle.

I replaced mine 4 years ago dry, and it's still dry.

Don't use RTV just install it dry. I just did mine about 6 months ago and used RTV at first and then pulled it all off as it was just messy as hell and havn't had a leak. Good luck.
