Re: oil pressure sending unit

There are two 90-degree fittings that need to be installed one by one. Install the one in the block first, then thread on the other. Use some thread sealant on both threads.

Re: oil pressure sending unit

I'm installing new new elbows and sensor. What kind of sealant do you use.
Does plumbers tape work? I followed the thread, but nobody recommended what kind. Any help appreciated.

Re: oil pressure sending unit

Thread sealant or pipe dope. Some tapes do not hold up to oil.

Re: oil pressure sending unit

Thanks so much. While I have the intake manifold off and the sender is easy go get to, want to make sure I don't have a leak.
I used tape, but going to take off and use the pipe dope instead.

Thanks again
