oil pressure sending unit
so im rebuilding a lt1 and went to put the oil pressure sending unit, on the back ont the intake under the egr (1995). and the way the sensor is shaped it hits the block/intake and i cant get it in. is there a trick to this or does it have tobe done with intake removed thanks

Re: oil pressure sending unit
There are two 90-degree fittings that need to be installed one by one. Install the one in the block first, then thread on the other. Use some thread sealant on both threads.

I'm installing new new elbows and sensor. What kind of sealant do you use.
Does plumbers tape work? I followed the thread, but nobody recommended what kind. Any help appreciated.

Re: oil pressure sending unit
Thanks so much. While I have the intake manifold off and the sender is easy go get to, want to make sure I don't have a leak.
I used tape, but going to take off and use the pipe dope instead.
Thanks again
