Oil pump drive won't go in

Just installed a new cam, my oil pump drive won't sit back in place flush with the bolt hole. I'm hoping this doesn't mean somethings up with the cam.

It is just very tricky to do due to the helical gears plus having to line up the drive shaft.
Take a break, chug a beer and try again.

Turn the oil pump drive shaft a little and try again, thats what you're hitting, its just a trial and error process, dont sweat it. Try to keep the gear that meshes with the cam in the same position all the time so you're not chasing your tail.
