which oil to use?

I just got my 95 Z28 about a month or so ago and its a little early for an oil change yet, but im wanna be prepared. The car has 105k miles on it and runs great but i dont know what type of oil has been in there before. Is it fine to go with synthetic? What oil do you guys prefer to use? thanks a lot

There are so many good oils out there that it's hard to go wrong nowadays.

For dino oils, Chevron Supreme and Pennzoil show very good oil analysis results, so does Castrol GTX.

For synthetics, Mobil 1 is ok, but you'll most likely see better results with Redline or Amsoil.

I personally use an oil called Schaeffer Oil, specifically their blend called Supreme 7000. Even though it's a blend, it has proven itself to outperform many full synthetics (including Mobil 1) It's hard to find though, they don't market themselves very well at all.
