As long as the stainless being used won't get surface rust the coating should be fine. I am not sure, but I would assume that Kooks are 304, which will not surface rust. Provided the coating is a quality product, it's not the coating that is failing...it's the material. The black coatings are generally used for higher temp conditions, but it scratches off much easier than the ceramic coatings.

the reason for the swap was for emissions and I know the Kooks LT will match up to their Y pipe with cats.
and I have someone that will take the jetHots off me for a little bit of cash.

I read an article somewhere that actually said coating stainless steel headers was a bad choice. Stainless has different thermal properties and coating them isn't optimal.
