one more question

i searched for my answer but couldnt find it. the little air box that the cai filter will be sitting in, should i take out the botttom of it so more air is around the filter or leave it and just throw the cai on with the filter sitting inside the air box, the one by the fender. who here recommends doing what? any input would be appreciated. thanks

you're talking about the little plastic flap under there? I'd leave it.

no not tha radiator air dam but say when you take out your stock air filter box housing thing and there is that space below it where the cai filter would be located, should i keep it the way it is or remove some of that plastic to get more air to the filter. what has everyone else done that owns a cool air intake system? input would be appreciated

what has anyone who owns a cai done with that air box? am getting it tomm and am real curious if it makes any difference. as of right now im leaving it on

Your not talking about the splash shield are you? If thats what your talking about, leave it. If you take it out then the plastic on the bottom of the wheel well will flop around and your tire will rub a hole in it. Ask me how I know.
