Opti, again. **Sigh**

Well the other day I went to fire up the Z and it just cranked and cranked. It finally fired up, tach is dead and threw a P0372 code. I think it's safe to say the opti has decided to **** the sheets on me. I started shopping around and from what I can see AC Delco no longer manufactures opti's anymore, Seems Delphi has taken over the OEM route. What is everyone recommending for opti sources nowadays? Anyone happen to have a spare laying around?

AC DELCO=DELPHI. AC DELCO is a brand name that is placed on products manufactured by a variety of companies. DELPHI is the manufacturer that used to be part of GM about 10 years ago.

i do have a spare one but in all honesty there are a few aftermarket companies that make them for a fare price (around $45), check jegs and summit. I went to the dealship and they quoted me 480 dollars or so for a new one, I just laughed and walked away.

I havea brand new opti on the way from thepartsladi on ebay, 260 shipped for a genuine Dephi unit. I don't even want to know what a dealership would charge.

I work at oreilly auto parts and we still sell Ac Delco opti's. They are the complete deal. Comes with the cap rotor and all already hooked up and ready to install. I went a different route though and purchased a brand new one complete like the Delco one but of a different brand. It is a Richporter Technology distributor. I compared it with the Delco one and it just seemed to be alot tighter and smoother and the price was ALOT better as well. Plus has a life time warranty, so if it burns up or if I want to replace it after a couple years I'll just take it back and get a new one for free.
