is there anywhere to get just the connector that plugs into the Opti... i dont want the whole harness just the connector

I'm thinking you'd probably have to buy the whole harness. It's about $60.

 

Caspers electronics sells the entire harness for $35. Gmpartsdirect will cost you about $60. The local chevy dealer will cost you a little over $100.

And no, no one sells just the pigtail.

 

Is it missing or broken? Is it just a bad terminal or broken wire?

Most GM dealerships have a Packard Electronics repair kit (warranty wont replace connectors for a broken wire or corroded terminal, they must be fixed).

 

the car just died, wont start... had this problem before turned out to be the harness... has the same exact symptoms now, so im going to change the opti and the harness, the car has a 1200 mile trip in 2 weeks, and dont want my opti to fail on my way back to VA from MO
