Yeah, better to measure total dowel length. Mine was .650", but it could have been a little longer and been ok.

Certainly agree.. if that dowell is too long it will put too much force on that high tech plastic rotor.. cam end play may be in the mix also.. rule out the most probably then scratch yer head if that isnt it..

just had to update this thread! turns out the problem WAS indeed the cam dowel! after like 4 opti's and two grinding sessions it's finally grinded down to where it doesn't hit and ive been running strong for about 2 months now thanks guys
