opti replaced, but weird things going on

I had to replace my opti (and waterpump as it leaking onto the opti was why it failed in the first place) and now if my MSD box isn't hooked up it will not start, and if I start it and then disconnect the MSD the engine dies. I followed the MSD wiring schematic fully and used the MSD to GM single connector harness. is the wiring schematic wrong? or is something else in my ignition dieing?

the coild is always plugged in, I'm saying if I remove power to the MSD box by removing the wire from the positive, the engine dies.

You're leaving the MSD box inserted in the ignition circuit, using the MSD wiring harness, and pulling the power to the MSD box. You're not removing the MSD harness and reconnecting the stock wiring? Sounds logical that it would not start. Or did I misunderstand what you are doing?

thats how i took what was said as well. youll have to completely un plug the MSD harness from everything and hook the coil back to the stock harness before it would work correctly.
