Quick Question. When you buy a new GM Opti unit....does it come with the distributor cap and rotor? I've looked through the GM online catalogs and they list the Distributor and Cap/Rotor seperate.

Re: Optispark

You get everything you need when you buy a GM opti. It doesn't come in pieces its put together in fact if you break the seal I believe you void your warranty.

Re: Optispark

The cap and rotor are available seperate from the complete opti so you could just replace those on your existing opti if you so choose. The whole new opti seems like a better chopice though as you get everything new for less than $100 more and don't have to worry about a special socket or breaking any screws or anything.

Re: Optispark

less than $100 more than just the cap and rotor was what I meant. Cap and rotor usually go for what $125-135 where a complete opti can be had for $220 maybe even less through good sources.
