Optispark Image
Does anyone have the image showing the firing order of the optispark? I know I've seen it all over the place and I need it right now but I can't find the image for the life of me. Don't know what I need to search for - tried optispark firing sequence, optispark firing order, optispark sequence, optispark order, optispark spark order ... can't find it. Basically what I'm trying to do is I have my optispark's cover off and I want to know exactly what position my optispark is before I pull it off or else I'll pull it off and not know what position it was in and hence not know if my index was off.

Hehe want to bet? Mine slid right on and it turned out to be the wrong slot. When I realized it was wrong I was really tempted to JB weld the other slots in so it won't happen again

Yeah no I'm talking about the little studs that are on the cover of the opti itself. Someone has a picture where the tan part of the opti has the firing numbers drawn in.. on the circular tan-green portion of the cover there's numbers in a circle that says which cylinder the opti is firing when the metal rotor tip makes contact with the stud in the cover.
The image I'm looking for shows what each of these little studs corresponds to:

Under "Component Location Views" , item 51, listed as "1995-1997 Optispark front view with cap cylinder terminal location markings". Right in the section with all the other opti views.

Some of the best data on the Opti construction is shown in pages 60-63 of the book "Corvette Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Management" by Charles D. Probst (ISBN 0-8376-0861-9; GM part # 12497977). Detailed info on the cap with an X-ray showing the internal wires that route the individual buttons to the wire towers, a diagram of same, details of the cylinder assignment and specifc degree length of the low resolution slots in the optical disc, square wave output pattern for the low res pulse, etc.
I'll see if I can scan a few of the photos, diagrams, etc.

Sigh...so much research down the drain.
