Re: OPTISPARK replacement...What will you get next time: Delteq, MSD, GM....

Well I got the opti back and it is said to be working fine.

I changed the plugs out with new NGK TR6s gapped at .35

Accell 300+ wires were checked and no problems found. Resistance ok. No leaks of spark during bench testing with a coil.

Drove the car and ran great. Lots of power and no miss. Now after almost 100 miles car is getting sluggish again and starting to feel a miss again. I will pull the plugs again to check them. The first set was carbon fouled after 150 miles. I have a feeling I am going to find fouled plugs again. If so now what?

My combo is a 383 with a d1sc at 10 psi boost. Dynateck optispark, msd 6btm ignition, msd blaster coil, ngk tr6 plugs at .35

Is waste spark anything to be concerned with, I understand that it means the plug will fir on the exhaust stroke?
Does it wear out plugs faster?
