Question Optispark suggestions

I am getting ready to replace my opti and am wondering if anybody had ideas for "might as well" items . . . such as new water pump, pulley, etc.

Re: Optispark suggestions

god i hate the "might as well items"
when i did my opti i also got sucked into the might as well items, damn that sucked!

well when i did my opti i also did a csi electric water pump and timing chain/gears.thank god i didnt get sucked into doing a full out head/cam swap..
i would just stick with the opti/wp/and the seals on the timing cover.

Re: Optispark suggestions

LOL...those might as well additions REALLY add up.

Might as well go with an electric WP and Cloyes chain. Might as well throw in a cam, lifters, pushrods, springs, 1.6 rr's, etc.

Might as well go with a Delteq so you don't even have to pull the opti

It's really hard to say....it depends on your budget and your goals but I wouldn't worry about the water pump unless you've been having problems with it.

Werd. My stroker project started as a valve spring swap. No joke.

LMAO....my second cam swap turned into full valvetrain, P&P'd heads and intake, electric WP, Cloyes and Delteq.

My upcoming stroker project is going to include T56 swap and PTK turbo....funny how that happens.

The humor had faded for me when the cost of doing it started rising like it does.
