Took off the timing cover and checked out the mechanical aspects of the engine, and the opti position.
Checked the Coil - its good
New Opti
New ICM
New MAP
New TPS
New EVAP solenoid
New EGR solenoid
I'm going broke on probably perfectly fine sensors - since i cant scan the car it's a game.... a crappy game!
Everything is perfect.. With all the mechanical aspects.
I Just ordered new spark plug wires to rule them out. Even though they are verynew Accel 8mm wires I had crimped 2 of them between the block and the accessory bracket. I am replacing them and hopefully all these issues will just vanish
I want to thank everyone here for your help there are a lot of replies in this thread from many members, and I do truly appreciate it so THANKS!
I'll figure it out sooner or later and then it will be :hyper: AWESOME!
Thanks

Sounds like you have a chip install error or bad PCM.
To double check you can jump the upper two right pins of the DLC and see if the SES light blinks. IF it doesn't ou have a problem with the pcm or chip.
Without a datalog your going to keep throw money at it. Its best to just figure out how to get the datalog to work at least so we can find the issue.

I just thought of this. You migth want to try and disconnect the computer. Find out which pins go to the diagnostic port and do a continuity test for each wire. Make sure nothing got pinched somewhere in the harness. This way you can rule out the harness as being a reason for the communication error with the computer.

Re: Out of ideas
Even w/out Datamaster, you can check most of the sensors with a multimeter to make sure they are working correctly. Shoebox's website has everything you need. Hopefully the plug wires fix it.

When i was converting the car there was a small black rectangular box that had a 14 or 20 pin green connector on it. The box was a big bigger than the average wallet. What is this - and could it cause all these issues?

I will do this -
Could the wires be pinched even if the car enter diagnostic mode with the paper clip method?
Thanks .
