Over valve cover wires NOT over the net?

If I jsut go to my local parts place that has taylor wires and ask for ... umm what do I ask for?
Generic kit for V8?
then get the crimp tool
and the "opti ends"?

sorry if this is a dumb question, jsut forgot that stock wires will probably suck once the headers are in.

If you route them correctly you should not have any problems.
I have LTs and MSD superconductors, about 9k since the install and not one burned wire, no OVC just creative routing .

Actually, I just got done installing Taylor universal wires in my 1996 SS. I have the over the valve cover kit and was intending to use it but my mechanic bud recommended we keep them in the stock locations due to what he thought would be higher heat directly above the header vs below it (stock locations). Sounded reasonable to me so we put the universal wires in the stock locations.

But, yes, you'll need the tool and the correct ends, and the universal wires.

You can get a universal kit from Accel. I do not believe you can get the opti ends though. I uually butcher an old set of plug wires i have laying around for the ends.

I still actually have my wires routed in the stock locations, no burnt wires yet and its been about 1-2k miles so far, although I have a set of ovc wires & looms waiting for me to install them.
