Pace setter Lt's or hooker shorties?

I was just wondering which would be better for my 95z28? Their about the same price so I was wondering which would give me more power with my loudmouth exhuast?

Well, I've never even seen Pace setter long tubes, so I really can't reccomend them, but i've got the Hooker Long tubes and they are just aweseome.

No one has the pacesetter long tubes yet since they are a new product, but theoretically long tubes should support more hp. I would be more concerned with the pacesetters quality than hp numbers. Pacesetter isnt known for the nicest quality headers.

Another header you might want to consider are the Mac's. You can get them ceramic coated and come out about the same price as the SLPs.

The edelbrocks will probably be just about as good as any midlenght header. What do they go for in Summit? I'm guessing around $350-400 uncoated. You can still get Macs for that same price and I bet most people on teh board would reccomend the over the Edelbrocks.

As for the edelbrocks taking a full second off your 0-60 time, I dunno about that. It may take a full second off, but I seriously doubt it and wouldnt use the advertisement as abenchmark. People here are less concerned with 0-60 and more so with their quartermile et.'s. Any set of shorty or midlenght headers will give you a decent increase over stock.

I have never seen the Pace Setter headers for LT1s. I have have seen other products from them, headers for a Mazda 2.5 V6, and I was surprised at how bad the quality was... bad welding, the things didn't fit!!! We had to clean up the inside of the tubes where they meet the flange because thwere was so much weld in there. We had to make another collector as it wasnt long enough, missing 1/2 inch, and didn't align... I can t recommend these.

Thumbs up

I've got them and i would have to recommend them. There not a hard fit at all and they don't have that leaky gasket design other headers have. There not as quite as good as hookers but there uncomparable to shortys. I say buy them

Pacesetters here - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=2454354962

Theres also a new one thats even a bit cheaper, I don't think they are pacesetters tho. Looks like a hell of a deal includes shipping and the Y pipe

Looked at the lt's on ebay and couldn't tell if they were made by that company or if they just sold them. Asked the seller and so i'll find out soon enough. Does look like a good deal b/c they include everything needed for 410 and that includes shipping.
