Why don't they work? Are they not sealing up? Are the flanges on the headers completely flat or are they warped or something. I have heard Percys Aluminum gaskets work well.

I know when I first got my Pacesetter LT's the flanges were warped. But with enough heat cycles and retorquing of the bolts, it straightened itself out.

well..ive had them in the car for sometime now, and no matter how much i tighten the bolts, the car sounds like its knocking really bad...especially under load...i dont know why its doing this.

the car is a lt1 swapped v6...and i dont know what to do. i changed out all the wires not too long ago because they were arching...so i dont know if in doing so it caused premature failure to a spark plug...adding to the problem...but all i know is that these gaskets arent workign too well.

about those aluminum ones...whats teh part number? who makes them?

i use the flowtech ones on my drag car, work excellent, can take multiple swaps and they have never leaked.http://www.holley.com/99150AFLT.asp

I used the percy's dead soft aluminum gaskets and have to say they sucked, had pacesetters on my 96 WS6. I will use something else when I put my motor back in. I will also have a machine shop go over my flanges. Tried different bolts as well which is also a pain in the aaaassss witgh these headers
just my 2 cents
