Hey, I figure you'd be the best to ask:
We're having a slight snag with the vented opti swap on my car. Here's the deal.
The new wiring harness for the opti won't mate up with the cars' wiring harness. The cars pigtail has a single slot/guide for the connector, while the new opti harness has two offest raised ridges, instead of the one centerline one. Which leads to these questions:
Are the wiring configurations for vented and non-vented optis' the same, or is there a greater difference between the two wiring harness' besided the opti end pigtail length?
Can the ridges on the new harness be ground down to mate with the cars factory harness, or can the original harness end be spliced into the new opti harness and be used that way?
Do you happen to have a drawing of the two different wiring harness'??
