Part number for ARP crank bolt?
#3
Just a couple of thoughts about the ARP damper bolts.
1. You might want to consider ARP #234-2501. Both 134-2501 and 234-2501 are designed for a small block crankshaft but the #234 has a 13/16" hex head. I find it easier to work with the larger socket when adjusting valves, etc. The 13/16" socket doesn't slip off the head of the bolt as easily as a 5/8".
2. When you use either of these bolts on an LT1 crankshaft, carefully check to make sure that the bolt isn't slightly too long for the threaded depth of the hole. In some instances I've found it necessary to cut off an 1/8" or so to keep it from bottoming in the threads. The difference isn't much but if the bolt bottoms in the hole, it will walk the threads out of the crank before you know it. Believe me, that is a circumstance to be avoided.
