Pass Headlight Keeps Burning Out

My Passenger Headlight is burned again. This will be the third time I have to replace just that bulb! I only had the car for 8 Months, I shouldn't have to replace these so often, they are $25 a peice and I don't want to have to keep replacing them.

I am going to check out the wiring when It stops raining and I just wanted to know if there is some sort of common trouble spot that these cars have before I start looking.

I tried a search, couldn't find what I was looking for.

I have not had a single problem with my drivers bulb, never had to replace it.

These bulbs should last longer! They are the Sylvania Stock Replacements. I have used Sylvania on all my cars and NEVER had problems like this.

I looking at putting in the SilverStar 9005/9006 Bulbs in the stock housings and call it a day. I should have a 9006 Cool Blue laying around for the time being

Is the bulb actually burned out or does the light just go out temporarily?

If the torx screw on the middle of the headlight is loose it will cause it to not work on and off.

No continuity between prongs on bulb, defiantly burned out!

Both Pass and Driver side both have 12.12and 12.13 Volts with Engine Off, respectfully.

I pulled the burned bulb out of the Housing and using Black RTV Sealant put in a Standard Slyvania 9006 Bulb in there, no problems, Harness plugs right up and bulb seals good.

I also have a Cool Blue 9006 Bulb put it doesn't match my other stardard Syvania Assembly on the other side.

Any idea on why my bulbs keep burning out, just on the pass side?

The Upper screw is holding the bulb in place pretty good, IMO

I would find out were the headlights are grounded. Clean and retighten wire ao wires. When you checked the voltage to the haedlights you went straight to classis groung and bypassing the headlight ground circuit. I bet if you were to use the head light ground the volt reading would be much different.

hope this helps,

Rob
