Our Bare Bones kit ($347.65) requires the following items:
4 coils and ignition module from Cadillac Northstar V8. (these items are generally called the "coilpack" when assembled)
Spark plug wires

For $42.50, you can purchase our custom 8mm double silicon wires for the radiator shroud mount setup. then, you would just need to get a used Northstar coilpack. So, you would be into the system for $390.15 plus the coilpack...

I am not sure if any aftermarket ignition wires work with our system. In all honesty, though, you will probably not find any aftermarket wires for under $70 that have double silicone wires AND silicone boots like ours...Most wires out there are silicone outer jacketed with cheap inner material. Ours are high temp silicone inside and out.

FYI - there is a guy on eBay selling new take-off coilpacks for $120. I have had a few customers buy coilpacks from him, so I think they should be good.

The MSD units designed for signle coil distributors (like Opti's) WILL NOT work with our system. If you need a rev limiter or timing retard, you need a DIS-4 from MSD, and the coil adapters that MSD makes for late-model GM coils.

Feel free to call us with any other ?'s!

Pete

1994-1998 Caillac Northstar V8 and Olds Aurora V8 engines have the proper coilpack to use with our system. The Cadillac one generally comes with a nice aluminum bracket if you ask for it. It is a nice piece if you want to mount your coilpack in a place other than the radiator shroud or the valve cover...we;ve got those two covered with our brackets.
