Performance upgrades

I'm in the process of buying my 1995 Z28 from an older couple who used it for joy rides. I'm buying it for around 5800 to 5500 and i have 9000 to spend. I'm wondering what i should do with the extra 3500 to 3200 i have for upgrades. I want exhaust for sure but any suggestions are great.

Headders, CAI, Catback, Cam, head work(if you have $$ left).

Headers, true duels or cat back, CAI to start. If it is a high milage engine then maybe another cam. Hot cam kit if its not high or not. The first three are a must though. Subframe connectors also make wonders. Just get heads or a nice port and polish with the left over cash. That or if your really in the mood to go fast just spend all the rest of the money on a new engine and save up for the rest. Then you can have it all when you get the small stuff.

I wouldn't spend anymore than necessary for awhile. Drive it. If it needs something, that will be where you spend your first $$.

Then stay in touch with the board and glean what information you can get from some of the experts here. I.e., just don't jump in and throw money at it.

If done correctly, you can get satisfaction at the right price. Go slow before you go fast.JMHO
