Pick The Cam
hello guys iam going to have loyd do my heads what cam do i switch to?i have the hoy cam right now, which i love but want to take advantage of the heads. xe224/230? 230/236? cc306? i do not even know what these numbers mean. which cam? i see alot of people going with the xe224/230 is that much bigger than the hotcam? please help

You're gonna need more info than that. What is the intended RPM range where this motor will be strongest? At what lift will the heads have optimum flow? Your head porter should be able to help you along with this decision.

for a 6 speed i would say that the GM 847 cam is the best one out there. i have the 230/236 cam in my auto and i love it. the 224/230 cam is a great mild cam too. it all depends on what your goals are?
